Missouri State Capitol Building
The Missouri Recovery Network is excited to announce that our annual Recovery Advocacy Day at the State Capitol will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2017.
Recovery advocates from across the state will have the opportunity to address their state legislators in order to educate and inform them on important topics related to substance use recovery. Sharing your story helps our policy makers understand what recovery is, what recovery means to YOU, and how they can support recovery efforts in Missouri. In the words of William White, “The most obvious gifts of knowledge that recovering people can bestow on their communities are their stories – stories that unveil the experience of addiction, that communicate the reality and hope of recovery, and stories detailing their knowledge of how such recovery can be initiated and sustained.”
Make an appointment today with your representative and senator to ensure you get a chance to meet with them on the morning of February 15th. To find your state representative and senator, click here.
