The Missouri Alliance of Collegiate Recovery Organizations (MACRO) is a new initiative of Missouri Partners in Prevention (PIP), with financial support from the Missouri Department of Mental Health. MACRO is the first organization of its kind in the state of Missouri to create a statewide network for growing and enhancing collegiate recovery support services. Its mission is to unite collegiate recovery efforts across the state and to be a top resource for Missouri schools as they build their own recovery support organizations. In doing so, they hope to increase the capacity of colleges and universities in Missouri to address recovery on their campuses, and in their communities. MACRO is currently housed at the University of Missouri – Columbia.
In addition to facilitating networking between Missouri schools, MACRO also provides valuable resources and limited funding for schools promoting recovery support systems. Their website includes a statewide treatment center database and additional resources and information for students in recovery, their families and loved ones. To learn more, visit macro.missouri.edu! If you have questions, additional resources, or you think your school might benefit from a partnership with MACRO, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
