MRSS/MRSS-P Credentialing Changes to Take Effect July 1, 2015

Effective July 1, 2015, the Missouri Credentialing Board will be amending the requirements for the MRSS/MRSS-P credentialing process.  The education requirements will be increased from 42 hours to 46 hours of training.

To avoid taking these additional education hours, the Missouri Recovery Network encourages you to complete the credentialing process through the Missouri Credentialing Board, if you have not done so already.

If you have previously taken the 42 hour training and did not get your credential, below are the additional training hours you will need:

  1. Mental Health First Aid – 8 hours
  2. Culturally Informed – 2 hours
  3. Recovery Communication – 4 hours

If you have questions about the credentialing process, contact the Missouri Credentialing Board at (573) 616-2300 or e-mail them at
