MRSS/MRSS-P Trainings to be Held in St. Louis & Jefferson City

The Missouri Recovery Network is pleased to announce that recovery support specialist (MRSS/MRSS-P) trainings will be held in St. Louis and Jefferson City.  The trainings dates are as follows:

  • St. Louis: March 20-21 and March 25-28, 2015, at Preferred Family Healthcare
  • Jefferson City: April 16-18 and 23-25, 2015, at Preferred Family Healthcare

The training will provide individuals with the 42 hours of education required to obtain a Missouri Recovery Support Specialist state credential (all other requirements set by the Missouri Credentialing Board must be met in order to receive this credential).

The cost for each of the trainings is $150, which includes CE and course training material.

The 42 hour training will consist of six hours in each of the following domains: Recovery, Ethics, Family Recovery, Spirituality, Motivational Interviewing/Stages of Change, Co-Occurring Disorders, and Medication Assisted Treatment.

A limited amount of funding is currently available to reimburse Division of Behavioral Health (DBH) contracted treatment of recovery support providers for MRSS-P training.  This reimbursement is eligible for peers receiving MRSS-P training who meet the criteria for and are seeking a Missouri Recovery Support Specialist-Peer (MRSS-P) credential.  This funding is limited!

The St. Louis registration form can be accessed here, and the Jefferson City registration form can be found here.  We hope to see you there!
